With Mercury in airy Gemini, the sign of the twins – expect the busyness to quickly increase. Today’s cosmic event is powered by a Solar Eclipse, which intends to intensify this Taurus New Moon. Perhaps you’ve felt the unsettled vibrations in the air. This could be as a strange new calm passes through you, or possibly an uncomfortable feeling of wobbliness. It could even have you flip-flopping with many moods between neediness, uncertainty, to relaxed and peacefully content. The stillness can also be so perfect, that it will feel like the calm before the storm. Have you experienced this?

If you’ve felt some of this unusual ‘noise’ in the past weeks, your ‘inner quiet place’ is calling for your return in this dark and quiet lunar energy. It is beneficial to voluntarily separate ourselves from the distractions in our outer world. I know with my own sensitivities that I had to withdraw from the busy vibrations, and to find comfort by staying away from the internet and social media. Releasing will not be as easy as we think though. And when this happens, we will fail to recognize the blocks that keep us from progressing and moving forward into happiness. In this complicated process, what we have experienced (good or ‘not so good’), will manage to find a way to attach and bond with us. If  we aren’t cleansing these attachments regularly (and thoroughly), they eventually become aged, moldy, and toxic. As of this past weekend, transformative Pluto stationed retrograde, and for the next five months, we should find ourselves withdrawing and turning inward, to transform our inner self. In this creative period, we temporarily hit the pause button on ‘severing, death, and major endings’, so that we may step inside of our deepest darkness – where we become one with our disease.

During the Pluto retrograde, we should search for what is unnecessary and unhealthy in our own psyche. And what will be required during this extreme investigation, will be full awareness with intense drilling. As we continue to journey and dig deeper… the abscess, the root of all evil, and true potential, will be at our disposal. Pluto will continue to retrograde, pressing into a challenging square with Uranus (The Awakener, Truth) and Saturn rx (The Disciplinary, Responsibility) in May. Depending on your chart or individual situation, this particular energy is bound to hit a nerve, especially for cardinal signs; Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. In the end, the infection must be dealt with, if we are to heal. So as we release the poison, detoxification can become quite uncomfortable, as well painful. Understand ‘no pain, no gain’, strive for wholeness, and journey well my friend.

As we try to recreate our new chapter, the Aries stellium produces a daredevil energy that intensely heats things up. This fire makes us move a lot faster than normal, which pushes us take control and handle matters immediately, as we set our sights on a new direction. Reacting and jumping to conclusions has it’s own teachings, just as looking for opportunities has it’s own process. Depending on your own individual path (upstream or downstream), what you need to learn in this new cycle will be demonstrated in your own decisions and behaviors. So it would be wise to be aware and mindful of the path that you are choosing, especially while we are under the influence of Aries, and its brave masculinity. In this fiery element, we will think later, because we are strongly driven to speak and act first. Starting new projects and taking risks will come easy, because we’re electric (Uranus) and on fire. We’re focused on creating new life, not gloomy consequences (Saturn). Fire is energizing and exciting. It moves fast and strong. It is also all-consuming and dangerous when we allow the ego to lead us. With self-control, we can smoothly direct our energy in a way, so that it works FOR us, rather than against us – as mentioned in the recent Aries New Moon post.

After two squishy months, Mercury (thoughts, communications) removed the filmy vision of Pisces, as he entered the new sights of Aries this weekend. The temperature is turned up considerably in the next three weeks, setting our mind on fire. Fun, enthusiasm, and confidence shines as fresh ideas burst, allowing us to see and learn new ways. But just as our mind is on fire – so is our tongue – and it can heat up conversations like never before. In many ways, this can be a good thing as we are more available to take a new route to an old problem. We can be more brave in bringing up a foreign topic that had once been feared. We can vocalize our intentions, say what we are thinking, and share what we’ve been learning. We’re more courageous and daring in our pursuits in the weeks ahead, as futuristic visions magically appear in front of our eyes. Instead, utilize your passionate vision to redesign and transform weaknesses (Saturn) into powerful strength (Pluto). Dream and hold a meaningful vision that truly inspires your soul, and involve yourself in creating a seed of intention.

Today’s cosmic event is the New Moon, which joins Sun (will), the harmonious conjunction of Venus (values, love, money) and Mars (energy), and Uranus (change, reform) in natural pioneer Aries. This cosmic crowd obviously continues to activate the element of fire, which really spices things up at incredible high temperatures. Perhaps you have felt its prickly heat in the past weeks. It blazes generously with movement in creativity, confidence, beauty, work, sports, leadership, passion, bravery, spirituality, interesting life experiences, and start-up projects. And then there’s it’s shadow side, which contains ego, aggression, war, rage, bully, narcissism, self-entitlement, and violence. It’s definitely action-packed energy.

The Aries New Moon is dark and quiet, where we are reaching deep into the depths of our inner psyche. And through many levels of darkness, we come across a small flame that still exists within our inner cave, which we may have assumed to have burned out some time ago. With this hint of a light, we realize that a piece of us still very much exists – with a potential to shine. We are very much alive, and nothing will get us more excited than to rise back into life again – and make our mark.

So what will you be busy bringing out from yourself, in order to bring back a life of purpose? Sparks definitely fly high now, as you become your own fire weapon of choice. And with the use of my words here, I’m not here to offend anyone. The red-hot topics in the news just prove that it’s Mars/Aries weather. When I mention about BEING the fire weapon of choice, we can use these exciting vibrations to shoot for the stars, to create something magnificent in your life – or we can waste our ammunition on fighting, revenge, combat, arguments, violence, and destructive behavior. Weapons (Mars) can be used to defend and protect  - or they can used to threaten and destroy (Uranus/Pluto). Which are you? If you come in peace, words may have less of an impact now – so you may need to prove it with positive action (Venus/Mars) – or by doing absolutely nothing. It’s your choice of course, but it may feel quite maddening as inner vibes ache to rebel in a big way – just to create something amazingly authentic (Uranus).

Too, Aries is the Warrior, and his ruler is Mars, God of War. If you have a mighty appetite to trespass and conquer unmarked territories, make sure that you do your homework. Or think about going where you may have not been to before, in yourself. It’s a safe place to conquer an ego that craves animal instinct, reaction, envy, and entitlement. Don’t get mad, get even. Nothing bothers our competitors more, than when we’re happy, living well, and doing it successfully.

Try to find patience in all this fury before jumping the boat completely. Transformational Pluto prepares to station retrograde on Friday, which can keep us hanging on to what we were ready to let go of.
