What Strengthens You, Truth or the Lies? Light or Darkness? The Star, Tarot Affirmations

When it comes to those who use their ‘dark’ side to get what they want, I see and hear more than I really care to. We’re talking about the individuals choose to use their darkness (our female /our creative/and/or our dark side) for stealing from another (money, material possession, ideas, or time), attaching ‘hidden strings’, creating false identities, manipulation, cheaters, well… ::sigh:: you know the list. Deceiving another, just to satisfy a personal or professional goal is not cool. Period. I don’t believe in ‘just helping ourselves’ without asking. We all have a voice for communicating and relating kindly to others. I believe if we want something, we ask. It’s called good manners, decency, and respect. I never could comprehend why people feel the need to simply take what is not theirs, to trick, to conveniently lie to their benefit. Well… lol, you already know that kind of thinking got me into a lot of trouble. Hiding behind lies, creating masks is avoiding ‘the light’ which is love, respect, and truth. I’ve associated with a lot of those people, while they bragged about going to church faithfully, and being religious believers. Seriously. I really don’t get it, and I really don’t care to analyze hypocrisy anymore. You can comment below, and analyze it for me if you wish lol.

But I’m not perfect, nor am I a ‘goody two shoes’ who’s trying to act all righteous. I was a hearty, party chick myself. I smoked and drank too much. ‘Girls just wanna have fun’ was my motto. I’m a ‘work hard, play hard’ girl. I’ve got plenty of flaws, issues, skeletons, whatever you want to call them. But I didn’t steal, and lie to others… then blame them. What’s the point? I’m pretty much an upfront person, which is usually what gets me into trouble lol. Hell, I even apologize to my clients if I sound too blunt with the truth, because I don’t want to intentionally hurt anyone. Basically, we all have a choice. We can either be real, up front, and voice our real intentions… or we can hide behind a mask, pretend that we’re ‘do-gooders and loyal’ to see what we can get away with. Otherwise, avoiding the work, the consequences, and the truth of our own actions, which inflicts pain and blame on another. Again, totally not cool. It’s no wonder we have so many broken relationships, fraudulent friendships, dying family connections, divorces, rebellious children, dying businesses, tainted hearts, and so people who are lost, angry, sick, depressed, unloved, and addicted to the poison of their choice. And these are the same people who claim that they want to see peace in the world. Sorry, the Aquarian energy is quite the sarcastic wise-ass. Can you see mine beaming? Well, and under this light, this is the perspective of my truth. If you want a better world, start with yourself.

Saturn (moral responsibility, discipline) is still hovering over Libra, so that we can build a stronger relationship for ourselves, in order to have better relations with others, ‘owning up’ to our own choices. Finding our balance. Pluto (purge, termination, spirituality) continues to retrograde through Capricorn (foundations, reputation, secrets), looking for what is continuously failing us, so that she can remove it once and for all.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.’ Buddha

The Star tarot card is probably one my favorite cards. It is related to Aquarius, so I thought I’d share a meditative affirmation that may be used for the Aquarian Full Moon (although you can use it anything you are struggling with). In the image, we immediately notice the nude individual. Our yin (our female /our creative/and dark side) is comfortably exposed, because we have nothing to hide. Sharing and connecting with others is a natural part of our nature, as we give completely of ourselves. Obviously we have no tricks up our sleeves to deceive others, because we have no sleeves. What you see is what you get, and seriously, how refreshing is that? It’s rare, and like a breath of fresh air. Genuine honesty ~ Creating perfect love and perfect trust.

My meditative tarot affirmations are positive statements that are used for shifting energy, re-centering ourselves, and energizing our mojo. They can help to improve our perspective, while encouraging confidence and productivity. The method is simple and can involve creative visualization (where I include the tarot) but you must be determined to put in the effort to invigorate higher vibrations. Use affirmations whenever you need focus. I enjoy including them with the lunar events to explain how we can benefit from this approach.

Meditation: Sit for a few minutes alone, with eyes closed and a goal to relax. Calm all thoughts and emotions until you are aware of the quietness that surrounds you. With slow and deep breaths, feel yourself float into this calm energy, feeling your body and mind also adjusting to this quietness. All the noise disappears and you feel at peace. Pay attention to the soundless spirit, as you cleanse and exist with silence.

Visualization: Today’s card image may assist you in this meditative affirmation. Personally, I’m a very ‘hand’s-on’ person, so along with this card, I’d like to share my own creative tools to produce a shift in energy, so for this practice, you may choose to have a mirror handy, some matches, three candles, with a pencil and scratch paper. A hand-size hand mirror is fine, if you can prop it up so that you can see yourself with the candles sitting in front of you. I also prefer that this particular exercise be done with the lights out, or at least in a darker room.

Light the first candle on your left (our first twinkling star), and as you gaze into the flame, think about how you see yourself in your world today. For one full minute (or longer), think about your daily schedule, your profession, your general attitude about life, and what you stand for. Choose three words that describe your personal strengths today and write them down.

Light the second candle (our second twinkling star), and gaze into this flame for a full minute (or longer), while you revisit your childhood. Who were you back then? What made you happy, what did you enjoy doing to entertain yourself? Choose three words that to describe what made you unique and different and write them down.

Light the third candle (our third twinkling star), gazing into the flame for another full minute (or longer), and think about your aspirations, your dreams and goals. Dream about where you would like to see yourself in five years… what would you like to enhance, and what you like to change.

Look at the six words that you have written down, and circle the three that you will need to reach your future goals. These are your three key factors to rely on when you feel blocked or hopeless. You now realize that you already have what it takes to succeed. These three powerful gifts exist, and they are yours. As the woman in the image kneels to give back and replenish her resources, we too must give gratitude to the Universe (or your own belief system). Use one key factor per candle in the following phrase: ‘Thank you for my _______.’, and blow the candle out so that you blow your ‘thanks’ in your image in the mirror. Continue and repeat this for the other two key factors and candles. Be genuine with your gratitude. Then sit in the darkness quietly for a minute or two, allowing the energy to shift.

The Affirm: While being in-touch with yourself, announce your trusted affirmation:

  • I rely on my own source of light.
  • My choices create the quality of my life.
  • I help others to grow and prosper.

  1. Thank You! As always, perfect!

The key word is RESPONSIBILITY. All the “bad behaviors” are motivated by FEAR = False Experiences Appearing Real and Our society fosters Us to blame others for Our own laziness to avoid working on Our own “stuff.” Lascivious actions are the result of self-loathing and those of Us who diligently walk on the Paths of Light must remember not to view the offenses done to Us by others as reflections of Our failings. In reality, the offenses are reflections of the FEAR and lack of self-love that these unfortunate creatures continue to feed rather than brave the Path of Personal Responsibility. The Star Affirmation that You have presented is perfect for both those who brave explorations of The Inner Self and for those who need to! ~wink*

  2. I’ve sought the truth all my life. I was an emotional airhead and had to learn to be practical. I was also a “good boy” and stuffed a lot into the shadows and have done a lot of work to haul it out and take responsibility. Not easy, but so worth it! It’s based in fear, like Mistress Didi said, more so than genuine laziness, I think. I have come to prefer blunt truth over sweet lies and the beauty of authenticity over pretty packages. Thanks for your article and the meditation. “I choose Love over Fear!”

  3. Love it! Thank you so much for sharing!

  4. Thank you, I’m with you Kelton – Love over Fear!
